Session summary
When PlayLingo shows a summary after you close a video, what it counts — saved words, assembled and spoken lines, minutes — and the exercise summary.
When you close a video after a real session, PlayLingo shows what you took from it. Short or empty visits close quietly.
When it appears
The summary appears after you close the video, if at least one of these is true:
- It’s your first day with this language.
- You reached a milestone — for example, days in a row or words in your vocabulary.
- This session counted today for your streak.
- The session was substantial: 5 saved words, 6 assembled lines, 6 lines said out loud, or 5 minutes of watching.
If none of these apply, there’s no summary. Finishing the video to the end doesn’t trigger it by itself.
What it shows
- A headline for the occasion: Your first day with …, the milestone number, Today is counted with your streak and week, or What you took from this video.
- Chips with what you added: saved words, assembled lines, lines said out loud and minutes.
- A note about the most valuable work of the session.
First day, milestones and a counted day are celebrated; a regular session shows the same numbers quietly.
Milestones include Days in a row, Days of learning, Hours with the language, Words in your vocabulary, Words learned, Sentences assembled and Lines said out loud. Below the number you see the next goal.
Exercise summary
In Build and Speak modes, a separate summary appears inside the player when you finish a set of lines (10 by default) or tap Finish:
- the number of lines and words you Assembled or Said out loud;
- N more lines to start the next set;
- Back to Watching to continue normally.
The set size is Lines per session in Exercise settings.
Common questions
I watched a video, but no summary appeared
The session was probably too short. Watch for at least 5 minutes, save a few words or do some lines in Build or Speak.
Where can I see all my progress?
