Profile screen

What the Profile tab in PlayLingo shows — your name and languages, streak, and what each number (Time, Days, Sentences, Spoken, Known) counts.

FreeChecked September 15, 2026

The Profile tab shows who you are in the app, which language you’re learning and how much you’ve done. All numbers are for all time.

How to use the Profile screen

  1. Open the Profile tab.
  2. Tap your photo to pick a new one from your photo library. Tap your name (or Add your name) to change it.
  3. Tap the language pills under your name: your native language on the left, the language you learn and its level on the right.
  4. Tap the gear in the top corner to open Settings.

If you haven’t signed in yet, a card under the languages invites you to create an account. See Account and sign in.

Streak

Under the header you see your current streak and a strip with this week’s days. Tap either to see today’s status, a year of counted days and your next milestone. See Streak and freezes.

Your numbers

The tiles count the language you’re learning right now. Switch the language and the tiles change with it. A small number next to a tile shows what you added today. Tap a tile to see the number, a short note and the next mark.

Tile What it counts
Time Time in the player with this language: watching, listening and exercises
Days Days when this language passed the daily threshold. The detail shows them on a year map
Sentences Lines you built from word tiles in Build mode, both by ear and from a translation
Spoken Lines you said out loud in Speak mode
Vocabulary Words, phrases and sentences you saved
Known Saved words at the Mastered stage — your memory holds them for 3+ weeks

A tile you haven’t started yet stays as an empty placeholder.

At the bottom

  • A Pro banner, if you don’t have Pro. See Free and Pro.
  • Quick links: rate the app, Share PlayLingo, Suggest a Feature, Found a bug?
  • A line In PlayLingo since with the month you joined, how long you’ve been learning and your best streak.

Common questions

Why did my numbers drop after switching language?

They didn’t drop — every language has its own tiles. Switch back and you’ll see the old numbers. Your streak is shared across languages.

Does practice time count in Time?

No. Time counts the player only. A practice portion counts toward the day and the streak.

Where do I set goals like daily time?

In Settings → Profile, under Your goals: Daily time, Why you’re learning and What’s hard.
