Delete account

You can delete your PlayLingo account right in the app. Deletion is permanent and can’t be undone.

How to delete your account

1. Open the Profile tab and tap the gear to open Settings.
2. Tap Account.
3. Under Be Careful, tap Delete account.
4. Confirm Delete account? → Delete.

The app returns to the first screen.

What gets deleted

• Your saved words, phrases and sentences, with their review history.
• Watch history.
• Your streak and freezes.
• Followed channels.
• Your profile: name, photo, languages and levels.

Nothing can be restored afterwards — not by signing in again, and not by support.

If you have a subscription

Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription. Subscriptions are managed by Apple, so cancel it in your Apple ID settings. See Cancel subscription.

If you haven’t signed in

Account leads to the sign-in screen, and there’s no Delete button there. Your data is tied to this device. To remove it, sign in with Apple first and delete the account, or write to us at info@playlingo.app with the user ID from the bottom of Settings.

Common questions

Can I just log out instead?

Yes. Log out keeps your data in the account, and you can sign in again later. See Account and sign in.

Does deleting the app delete my account?

No. Removing the app from your device doesn’t delete the account or its data.
