Terms of Use

TTS Reader is provided by ALEXEY NENASTYEV PR BEOGRAD, a sole proprietor registered in the Republic of Serbia. Full details are listed in “Legal information” below.

TTS Reader reads text aloud with neural text-to-speech voices that run on your device. You can add documents, web articles, your own text and scanned pages, and listen while the app highlights what is being read. Voice models are downloaded once and then work offline.

The free plan includes a limited set of voices and a limit on how much text of each note can be read. Pro removes the text limit and unlocks all voices. The exact contents of each plan are shown in the app before you buy.

• Pro is sold through the App Store as an auto-renewing subscription or as a one-time lifetime purchase.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings.
• Refunds for App Store purchases are decided by Apple and can be requested at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Speech produced by the app is generated by a text-to-speech model. It is not a recording of a real person. When you share, publish or distribute audio made with the app, you must clearly disclose that the voice is synthetic.

You may not use the app or audio made with it:

• to impersonate another person, for example with voice deepfakes, without that person’s consent;
• to generate or spread verifiably false information intended to harm others;
• to generate or spread content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive or discriminatory;
• to spread personal or private information about individuals in order to harm them;
• to distribute generated audio without disclosing that it is machine-generated;
• in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.

These restrictions include the use-based restrictions of the OpenRAIL-M license that governs one of the voice models in the app.

Documents and text you add stay yours and stay on your device. You are responsible for having the right to use them and for how you use the audio you create. We do not review or store your content.

The app’s voices use open models, including Supertonic (OpenRAIL-M) and Kokoro-82M (Apache 2.0), together with other open-source components. Their licenses are listed in the app under Open Source Licenses and apply in addition to these Terms. The app itself, its name, design and code belong to us or our licensors; you receive a personal, non-transferable right to use it under these Terms.

We work to keep the app reliable, but it is provided “as is”. Text-to-speech can mispronounce words, and text recognition can make mistakes, so do not rely on the app where an error could cause harm.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability related to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

We may update the app and these Terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will let you know in the app before it takes effect. The effective date at the top of this page shows the current version.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia. Courts in Belgrade have jurisdiction over disputes, unless mandatory consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in the courts of your country of residence. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence.
